Make sure to tell the staff that you’re planning on bringing your furry companions so they can set you up with a bowl and some treats.


There are plenty of public areas you can enjoy with your furry pal at Charleston Place, although they aren’t allowed in the restaurants or bars, and they even have a grassy pet relief area on the property.
Keep in mind they don’t allow pets in the rooms unattended but they do have pet sitters which you can inquire about at the front desk during your stay at Charleston Place. Perfect for a late night out or an un-pet friendly activity during your stay.

Luckily Mount Pleasant is right across the bridge from Downtown Charleston, so everything you’ll want to check out in the city is just a quick drive away.


Some rules to take note of – pets must be crated if left in the room unattended, and there’s a convenient grassy pet relief area right at the hotel.
As an added bonus, each room is suite-style and you’ll have plenty of space to stretch out. This makes Towneplace Suites a great place for digital nomads visiting the area for a longer-term stay as well.

Reviews are great for this one saying the staff is very accommodating to furry friends, and people say to use the pet relief area at the Hampton Inn a few blocks away since there isn’t one on site.
Perfect for families, you will have more room to stretch out in your suite, and it’s right near King Street so you’ll be within close proximity to everything in the city. You’ll also get a really great price here for a stay right in downtown Charleston.
Best Beach Stay : Tides Folly Beach

P.S., the front desk usually has dog treats for furry friends!




Amenities include room service, free parking, ocean views from every room, on-site restaurants and of course the pool deck.
Dogs are welcomed on Folly Beach anytime after Labor Day and before Memorial Day, or before 10:00am / after 6:00pm during the summer, so Spring and Fall are probably the best times to stay here with your pup. You can read all the Folly Beach dog rules on their website.
