Who doesn’t love putt putt, especially when you can play no matter the weather or season. When it comes to indoor putt putt, Charlotte NC has a few great options that offer a fun experience for a good value. These indoor mini golf courses make for a great activity for rainy or hot days, a fun outing with friends or for couples, or something the whole family can enjoy together. Enjoy!

Both of the best indoor putt putt Charlotte NC courses provide different but equally unique and fun experiences. Whether you choose The Puttery or Monster Mini Golf will depend first on whether you have kids or adults under 21 with the you, and if not whether your group is more interested in black lights and arcade games, or cocktails, food and lounging around between rounds.

The Puttery Indoor Putt Putt Charlotte NC : Top Choice For 21+

Cocktails, themed indoor putt putt and great food = a good night. The Puttery Charlotte NC is our top choice for the best indoor mini-golf course in the area for anyone 21 and up. Puttery is adults only and that’s because they offer the unique experience of getting to drink craft cocktails, draft beer or wine while playing themed mini golf in a well designed facility with a great atmosphere.

The Puttery is located on 210 Rampart St in Charlotte’s South End. You can either pick a tee time and buy tickets online prior to visiting or you can pick a tee time and pay at the front desk, unless they aren’t already sold out. Weekend nights get crazy, so we recommend going on a week night or earlier in the day on the weekend if you don’t want the crowds. Also, the Unlimited Golf option is the way to go so you can play both courses.

Puttery Charlotte has a great atmosphere, with music playing at the perfect volume and a lounge area with plenty of places to sit while you aren’t golfing. The lounge areas make it a much more comfortable experience than your average mini-golf, so you can lounge around, re-up on cocktails, get a bite to eat and mingle between rounds when you’re ready to sit after a competitive game of mini golf.

They even have whimsical themed cocktails like “The Hole in One”, and a pretty large food menu for either quick bites or a full dinner – all of which can be had either in the lounge area, at the bar or at a table. They also have second bars on each course and servers that can get you a drink while you’re playing on the more crowded days.

There are two themed courses, the Conservatory and the Library, and both are great but the Library seems to offer more challenging holes. Each 9-hole course offers a unique electronic scoring system as well, so you can use your hands to hold your cocktails instead of a scoring card – although they do have cup holders you can use also. The electronic scoring system means you can see how you measure up against the top players in other groups currently playing, with a ranking board on the wall.

Watch out for the photo spots on each course where you can stand in front of a screen while it takes your picture. Perfect date night souvenir. šŸ˜‹

But don’t get me wrong, this place is not just for families and children! They regularly have DJs and upbeat music and a surprisingly challenging mini golf course complete with animatronics and moving props. Plus, a large amount of arcade games, and other activities like a lazer maze and mini bowling. It’s hard to get bored here.

There’s no need to purchase tickets online and they can be purchased once you arrive. When we visited it wasn’t too crowded either, which really added to the experience so we could play mini golf and arcades games without too much standing around. Also, parking is ample and nothing to worry about.

In our opinion the best part of this indoor putt putt is the glow in the dark black lights, creating a unique atmosphere that feels extra fun. We also loved the moving props and animatronics that were a bit Disney-like. Make sure to watch the giant monster in the corner closely. šŸ˜‰

The holes are short but surprised us with how challenging they could be. When we visited, it wasn’t too crowded either which really added to the experience so we could play mini golf and arcades games without too much standing around.

After you’re finished playing golf, there are tons of arcade games built for both young and old. You’ll have the chance to win prizes too, adding to the excitement – especially for little ones. For even more fun you can try mini bowling or the lazer maze also. Although all of the activities cost extra, it won’t break the bank and is overall an affordable activity for date night, groups or families to enjoy.

They don’t have a bar or fresh food available, but they do have vending machines for drinks and snacks. Overall, Monster Mini Golf Charlotte is more of an impressive dark family entertainment center than just a mini-golf course, offering a unique glow golf experience along with arcade games, mini bowling and lazer tag.
