Where to Practice Hot Yoga Asheville NC : Find the Studio That Is Best For You
Here’s a breakdown of each of the hot yoga options in Asheville, so you can find the studio that is best for you, or maybe decide to try them all!
Hot Yoga Asheville NC Studio
The Hot Yoga Asheville NC studio is a the best place for bikram yoga in Asheville. Built for hot yoga, hence the name, this studio has a variety of different types of hot yoga classes heated up to 105 degrees including both Hot 26, which is their bikram practice, and vinyasa flow classes. One cool option they have is their Sonic class, which includes fun music and color lights.
The best part about the Hot Yoga Asheville NC studio is that they use infrared heat, similar to how the sun feels, which helps your body heal and feels way more comfortable than other types of heating. I can attest to this, infrared heat is the best!
Parking: The studio has easy parking, with a parking lot on site.
Pricing & Passes: This studio offers a Hot Yoga Asheville Traveler’s Pass, as well as membership packages and an affordable drop-in rate.
Asheville Community Yoga
Asheville Community Yoga is a special place. They are a non-profit, donation based yoga studio, offering yoga to the community at a sliding scale. What this means is that anyone who can’t afford it can still attend, with the hope that others who can pay more will compensate naturally. They have hot classes 95-105 degrees and also warm classes at 90 degrees, and the practice spaces are huge.
It also feels very much like a community, and I was shocked at how many people were there on a week day night class! I found it super uplifting, but if you like classes that aren’t that crowded you probably won’t like Asheville Community Yoga.
Lastly, Asheville Community Yoga has a used clothing shop where people can buy clothes at a price they choose, and they offer sliding scale acupuncture monthly as well. Donate to Asheville Community Yoga to support the use of yoga in healing for Asheville residents who can’t afford it.
Parking: The parking lot is huge here, including plenty of space for all the classes and events that take place throughout the day.
Pricing & Passes: Asheville Community Yoga offers a sliding scale, where you can pay what you’re able to.
Asheville Yoga Center
Asheville Yoga Center is a staple in the Asheville community, which offers a variety of hot yoga classes including both warm classes heated to 80-89 degrees, and hot classes to 90 degrees and above, similar to Asheville Community Yoga. The warm classes are great for beginners who may not be ready for a hot class yet!
Asheville Yoga Center is more than just a yoga studio. The community at Asheville Yoga Center has the intention to provide an encouraging space to practice, and learn the power of the mind body connection. They believe “it’s possible to foster fun, humor, and play with focus, dedication, and depth simultaneously” because “being human can be hard at times, and we want to share yoga as a way to move through life’s joys and challenges with greater presence, compassion, and grace.” Love this!!
Parking: There are multiple on-site parking lots.
Pricing & Passes: They offer a week-long Traveler’s Pass which is a great deal, seasonal intro specials, class packs, drop-in passes one discounted Community Classes.
YogaSix Asheville
YogaSix is another great option for hot yoga Asheville NC. This boutique yoga studio offers a variety of classes, including a signature Y6 Hot class, each of which are designed to produce specific benefits in the body and either warm or hot. YogaSix is all about providing an experience that stimulates all of the senses through an energetic practice, which will ground you to the earth and connect you to your body.
Parking: This studio is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking.
Pricing & Passes: YogaSix offers a free trial special, which you will find on their website.
Flow at Foundy
Flow at Foundy is a new boutique yoga studio in the River Arts district of Asheville that offers a mix between yoga and traditional fitness classes, all either warm or hot based on the following scale: UNHEATED: 70-75F | WARM: 80-85F | HOT: 93-97F | FIERY: 105F.
I love that they make it simple for you when you book, especially as someone with chronic health problems that has to take a little extra care of my body! The studio itself is really great with brick walls. Check the class schedule at the Flow at Foundy website.
Parking: This studio is located in the Muse Meridian Center which has plenty of parking.
Pricing & Passes: While Flow at Foundy doesn’t offer a traveller’s pass, they do have a great drop-in rate, along with free one week passes for residents, monthly memberships and class packs.
HOTWORX Asheville
HOTWORX Asheville isn’t your typical yoga studio, but you can do hot yoga here along with lots of other hot fitness classes. Instead of instructor-led classes, inside the HOTWORX studio there are a bunch of 3-person infrared heat saunas, where you will complete short (15 or 30 minute) virtually instructed fitness classes including but not limited to hot yoga. Here is an example below.
The idea is that because you’re completing your workout inside a sauna, your body is working harder, so you can workout for shorter periods of time while burning the same amount of calories. So this is THE place to practice hot yoga for anyone who is very busy, which is basically everyone.
Parking: There is a parking lot on site, which is located in Biltmore Village.
Pricing & Passes: HOTWORX Asheville offers a free trial, and they have monthly memberships along with a drop-in rate.
Best Alternatives For Hot Yoga Asheville NC
While there are plenty options for hot yoga Asheville NC, not everyone is going to want to hop straight into a hot yoga class before trying out a few non-heated classes first. If you aren’t experienced with yoga I recommend starting with a few non-heated classes, to make sure you’ll be able to handle the heat.
Asheville Yoga Center and Asheville Community Yoga both have non-heated classes, which are the best choice for beginners since the instructors are great teachers and will lead you on your yoga journey.
West Asheville Yoga
Another great option for non-heated yoga classes in Asheville is West Asheville Yoga, which is a small boutique studio that gets glowing reviews. This studio supports the community by providing a sliding scale pricing model, similar to Asheville Community Yoga, and a variety of classes from vinyasa to yin.
Parking: The best option for parking is either in the few labeled spots behind the building, or the free street parking on Haywood road and the surrounding side roads. There is also a paid lot across from the studio on Haywood road.
Pricing & Passes: West Asheville Yoga offers a sliding scale pricing model for drop-in classes, along with really affordable memberships and class passes.
If you’re in the Asheville area, I highly recommend finding the Crow and Quill and/or Pink Moon Asheville speakeasies to reward yourself for your workout. These are two of my favorite cocktail bars ever. Enjoy Asheville!
